Accelerated Training Program at NSB

Directed by Gabrielle Chaplin

As part of North State Ballet's Accelerated Training Program (ATP), students will have the opportunity to expand their training options in the contemporary styles of dance. In order to build from a strong technical foundation, the ATP is reserved for students enrolled in NSB's regular ballet program. They will have the opportunity to progress through the levels at a developmentally appropriate pace while being part of a team and learning how to work together to achieve a common goal. It is designed to enhance technical training as well as the artistic aspects of dance.

Additional performance and training opportunities are available as well, including community performances and both convention and competition experiences. Each level will have specific requirements that must be met in order to participate in the program. In addition to their designated ballet program, ATP students will be required to enroll in jazz and lyrical/contemporary. They will also be required to attend at least one choreography class each week with the option to add others. The program will run from August through May, with each level attending two competitions and one convention/competition. If your dancer is interested in this program, please contact us for additional information and pricing.
